General Catering Information



Please place all catering orders via the online ordering system. While on the ordering site, please take a few moments to create a personal account that you will use to place and confirm your catering request.
The catering order site includes our current menus, prices, as well as other general catering information and services. The contact information for members of the catering team is provided.



Ordering Guidelines

All catering requests need to be received a minimum of seven (14) business days ahead of the desired event. Catering orders received with less than seven days’ notice are subject to service and product availability. 
The catering team will consider that confirmation of guest counts and menus will be three (7) business days in advance of event. 
Changes in guest counts of more than +/- 5 guests, menu items or service times that are requested within 24 hours of your event, may be subject to additional charges, and will be subject to service and product availability.



Late Orders

Catering orders placed with less than three (7) business days advance notice, must be placed directly with a member of the catering team. We fully understand that last minute orders to happen, and we will do our best to accommodate any last minute orders. Such orders will be subject to service and product availability.



Event Cancellations

Requests to cancel your event that are received three (3) or more business days in advance of your confirmed event will be done at no additional charge.
Cancellations received 24 hours or less before your event may be subject to food and beverage charges for product that was ordered and received for your event.



Payment for Catering Services

You will be emailed a final catering invoice upon completion of your event. Your invoice may include specific instructions regarding payment remittance, if necessary. We currently accept the following methods of payment for catering services:

 

  • Personal Check
  • Business Check
  • Cash
  • Direct Bill to Pilgrim Place Account (Resident or Department)



Room / Outdoor Space Reservations

Reservations are the responsibility of the client / customer. Please arrange to have your reserved table and / or chair set-up reserved prior to placing your catering order request. Contact the appropriate department (usually Buildings & Grounds) for room / outdoor space reservations, tables and chair set-up, or refer to the Calendar on the Pilgrim Place Campus Portal.



Equipment

Any Unidine and Pilgrim Place equipment delivered for a catering event becomes the responsibility of the client / customer up until the designated pick-up time. Should the function end early or run late, please inform a member of the catering team so that appropriate coordination for equipment pick up can be made. Please arrange for the room to be unlocked at your designated pick up time, or the return of the equipment will be the responsibility of the client / customer.



China Service

China service is available upon request. Functions that request / require rental china are charged the rental fee from the vendor, in addition to a 15% cleaning and handling fee.



Food Safety

In compliance with the Los Angeles Department of Public Health, all events are food planned based on a maximum event duration of four (4) hours, at which time any remaining food will be pulled and discarded. Guests should not remove unused food from the event site. Unidine and Pilgrim Place cannot assume responsibility for the handling of any food item that is removed from the event site at the end of a function. This policy is in effect for the safety of our client and guests.



Substitutions

Unidine Catering reserves the right to make substitutions due to circumstances beyond our control. All substitutions will be of comparable quality. We will make every attempt to inform you of any substitutions prior to your event.



Dietary Restrictions

Please contact a member of the Unidine Catering team for specific information regarding menu items and supporting guests that have dietary concerns or guidelines such as gluten free or vegan.



Linen

Our Standard Blue Table Cloths are provided for all events that require round table cloths. There will no charge for these based on availability. Other specialty linen (including linen napkins) of different colors and /or varying lengths can be provided for all buffet food or beverage services for additional charges. Unidine / Pilgrim Place does not stock specialty linen so we kindly ask for a minimum of seven (7) business days advance notice for special requests.



Custom Menus

We are happy to collaborate with you on specialty menus for all types of events! If by any chance there is a specific item that you’re interested in that is not listed in our menu section, just let us know! We would be pleased to provide quotes and ideas on custom menu items as requested!
